Scope & Availability
What we’re responsible for, what you’re responsible for, and what to realistically expect from an unmanaged service.
This page explains our service scope in plain terms. The legally binding version is in our Terms of Service. Please make sure this reflects how you actually operate before publishing.
No uptime SLA — and here’s what we do commit to
ARA provides unmanaged infrastructure. We don’t offer a contractual uptime SLA or service credits — as a small, focused team we’d rather set honest expectations than promise numbers we can’t guarantee. What we do commit to: keeping the underlying platform running, being transparent on our status page during incidents, and responding to infrastructure and billing questions during business hours.

Availability & maintenance
We aim to keep our platform highly available and run it on reliable EU infrastructure, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. From time to time we carry out maintenance; where planned maintenance is likely to cause disruption, we’ll try to give notice.
Downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control — including anything inside your own server — is not something we can be responsible for. During incidents affecting our platform, we post updates on our status page.
Support scope
Support covers provisioning, billing, and the underlying network and hardware. It does not extend to your operating system, applications or other software — those are yours to manage.
We respond to support requests during business hours (Mon–Fri) and don’t guarantee response or resolution times. We don’t offer managed services or hands-on server administration.
Backups & data
Backups are your responsibility. We don’t guarantee that we hold copies of your data, so keep your own independent, off-server backups and test that you can restore them. Step-by-step guides are in our Knowledge Base.
Where we run
Our services run in EU data centres in Germany and Finland, with network-level DDoS protection provided at the infrastructure level. Your servers and data stay in the EU.
